Entry Fee

1) First come, first serve basis, or secure a spot by pre-paying your perch ($150) in the middle of February. Activation is due after the first 100-mile race. 

2) Accepting birds March 1st through June 15th. Birds must be ship with "Entry Form" and payment.

3) COOPA Derby: Pay Cash/Zelle

4) All birds must be banded with seamless band recognized by a national organization. (AU, IF)

5) All Perch fees are NON-REFUNDABLE.

6) Training and Races will be the Northwest course released in December.

7) Training will begin after September 15th.

8) Loft visits are by appointment only. You may view inside the loft, NO HANDLING OF ANY BIRDS other than your own (NO EXCEPTIONS).

9) Final prizes will be adjusted according to the final activation.

10) The maximum loft capacity is 250 birds. 

11) Birds will be vaccinated with PMV and Salmonella upon arrival.

12) Race dates are subject to change due to weather conditions and the condition of the birds.

13) Returning birds returning home must be claimed within 14 days after the race.

14) COOPA Derby is not responsible for any USPS delayed or lost birds. We will not give refunds or open a service request with USPS.

15) No birds bred on our property are permitted to participate in COOPA Derby one loft race. 

16) Live clocking through Wincompanion.

17) In-Loft Antenna. Prizes will be paid in clocking order.

18) All birds not Activated, meaning not paid immediately after the first race, will become property of COOPA Derby and will be sold to any interested party, who will also obtain ownership of the bird. All winnings, if any, will be paid to new owner.

19) Breeder will retain ownership of all activated birds.  After final race birds will be returned at owner's expense.

20) W-9 Tax forms must be completed for all winnings over $600.
